For this blog, I opted to go with my Dad. I was thinking about a couple of other internet businesses (i.e. youtube, facebook, myspace, etc.), but after I waited for about a week or so and got no responses I gave up and decided to go with my Dad. My dad own’s a business called Carnival At The Mall. No, there are no rides, games, or music, well unless you count the music playing in the mall. Anyway, my dad had an idea about 3 years ago (?) to open a kiosk that contained fried dough, cotton candy, candy apples, icecream, everything that you can find at a carnival or a fair, seriously. So since I never really questioned him about it and just let him go along with his business I decided to surprise him with a E-Mail while I was at the rink (thank goodness for my sidekick!)
He responded and said that it is a fun experience, and it’s always a pleasure to have all sorts of sweets at any second of the day. Sometimes it get’s extremely tiring with all the cleaning and expenses that go along with a business, but I enjoy it.
I know I definitely enjoy it due to the cotton candy machine located at home. When the rink holds banquets or fundraisers (for either figure skating or hockey) my dad always manages to cart along a few of his machines and we always have a great time with all the sweets!
